~Configurations~

All SAE and square pattern flanges are available as straight and 90-degree elbow, as O-ring or companion with SAE straight thread, socket weld, or NPTF outlets. All styles are available with reducing size outlets. Refer to Quick-Spec Chart for assistance in specifying configurations.

MATERIALS

All weld flanges are manufactured from low carbon billet steel ASTM SAE 1018 for good weld characteristics. Code 61 pipe thread and most code 61 straight threads are manufactured from low carbon billet steel SAE 1018. Code 62 pipe thread, straight thread, and code 61 reducing threaded flanges are made from low carbon billet steel. Stainless steel flanges are made from 304L unless otherwise specified at time of order.

DIMENSIONS

All rectangular pattern flanges have bolt spacing and thread specs. per SAE J518c Code 61 Standard Pressure Series or Code 62 High Pressure Series. All pipe socket weld flanges have counterbore diameters per ANSI B16.11. Catalog dimensions are for reference purposes only. If dimensions are critical, please request a manufacturing drawing.

MOUNTING KITS

Flanges supplied under catalog part numbers include mounting kits (cap screws, lock washers, and O-ring.) Please contact us for quantity pricing of flanges less mounting kits. All SAE one-piece flanges are furnished with socket head cap screws. Square pattern flanges and split flanges are furnished with Grade 5 hex head cap screws. Cap screw lengths furnished provide maximum thread engagement (using commercially available fasteners) not exceeding minimum full thread depths specified by SAE J518c. Do not omit lock washers, as this may cause thread bottoming in some sizes where full thread depth is at a minimum. This could result in leaks or failure.
